The ECC offers a wide variety of enriching classes and educational programs for adults. The goal is to coordinate opportunities for adults to learn new skills, develop their interests, connect with others and become involved in their community.

This class is a great way to create works of art that can be worn as jewelry. Family artists will be able to experiment with different designs to create an original piece of jewelry. Students will also learn sculptural techniques. Our main emphasis will be to have fun and create interesting pieces that will have everyone asking” where did you buy that?” Final projects will be fired and glazed to be picked up on the assigned date. All materials are included.

Students interested in pottery will learn the fundamental techniques in throwing to create functional work such as pots and bowls. Stamping, carving and incising methods will be used to produce individualized pieces. Students will work at their own pace, beginners are welcome! Final projects will be fired and glazed near the end of session and picked up on the date listed. All materials are included.
Parent and Teen Henna Class (ages 11 and up)

In this short, fun class you’ll learn the ancient Indian art of henna! Henna is a completely natural, painless tattoo adornment that typically lasts from one week to 20 days.
Instructor Dinal Doshi will show you how to mix the henna and make the tool to apply a henna tattoo. You’ll receive henna recipes as well as information on where to buy the supplies. Then you’ll learn how to apply the henna–typically to hands and feet–in some traditional designs. (Plan on leaving the class with one or more completed henna tattoos on your body.)

Through consistent reinforcement and praise, your dog will be introduced to the basic commands of sit, down, come, stay, watch, leave it, settle and learn loose leash walking. This course also addresses common problem areas such as potty training, chewing, biting, digging and barking. Social and handling skills learned at a young age helps puppies grow into well adjusted adults in new situations. The Bond of trust and understanding will last a lifetime.

“Perform With The Jazz Guild” is an exciting opportunity for musicians/vocalists interested in performing with an established group of musicians.
Those who enroll will have the opportunity to perform jazz standards, show tunes, and party music part of the Guild’s repertoire Sundays 4-6 p.m. Participants will perform with the group as well as do solos to showcase their individual talent.
Proficient participants may qualify to join the Varsity-Coed Jazz Guild and perform gigs with their professional group.
The Varsity-Coed Jazz Guild of Fairfield County was created in 2004 by Eugene Leone Jr. an Easton teenager for the purpose of organizing young musicians interested in performing jazz. By providing a forum for live performances participants have been able to share their interest and network amongst each other to perform for audiences all over the area.
Today, the Jazz Guild Professional Group is considered one of the most dynamic and busiest groups on the local music scene. Guild participants now total over 65 of the most talented young musicians from Fairfield, New Haven, and Westchester Counties. Guild participants have received numerous local and national awards for their accomplishments in music performance.
