Yin Yoga is comprised of passively held floor poses, which are designed to open up the joints by lengthening the connective tissues like tendons and ligaments. The poses are held for 3-5 minutes to allow for this lengthening.
A silent meditation will follow with a discussion of yogic philosophy and an in-depth description of the benefits of the Yin practice.
To stimulate the muscles and set the benefits of both forms of practice, a 45-minute period of active yoga will also take place along with a short silent meditation to conclude the session if time permits.

Taijiquan (T’ai Chi Ch’uan) is the highest expression of the Chinese “internal martial arts.” It develops awareness of the workings of both body and mind through slow movement, rounded forms, and the expression of various body energies, all of which require a combination of intention, concentration and, ultimately, relaxation. Taiji practice leads to strength, awareness, and general well-being. It is a form of Qigong (energy work) that also can have real effects on the world around us. No prior background in taiji is required, and students at all levels of competence are accepted.

Her instruction focuses on correct posture, coordination of movements, precision in foot work, and how to develop better balance through Tai Chi.
