REBA

After months of discussion with board members from the Easton Community Center and the Redding Boys and Girls Club the two organizations are proud to announce the merger of their travel basketball programs and the formation of the Redding-Easton Basketball Association (REBA). REBA is a joint effort by the ECC and the RBGC designed to enable the serious players of both towns to improve their basketball skills, field more competitive teams in the Fairfield County Basketball League (“FCBL”) and to better prepare the participants for a great high school basketball experience.  REBA will allow players interested in travel basketball to learn and compete against other players of a more equal skill set.  As long as the number of competitive players supports it, REBA will field two teams for fifth through eighth grade for both boys and girls.

REBA’s affiliation with FCBL gives it the blueprint for developing a top-notch community program. REBA’s partnership with the Positive Coaching Alliance will help the coaches create a character-building environment for all players, and the RBGC and the ECC provide the infrastructure and support needed to facilitate the program’s growth.
